Information about scholarship schemes implemented by the Directorate of Higher Education

   The scholarship schemes of various departments of the state government are being implemented online through the MahaDBT portal developed by the Department of Information Technology, Ministry, Mumbai. For the academic year 2023-24, needy and eligible students should get the information for scholarship schemes from MahaDBT portal from time to time. Online application process will be started from October, 2023. These include the following 14 scholarship schemes implemented by the Directorate of Higher Education.


Students can apply for the following scholarships on the MahaDBT portal.

1) Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Education Fee Scholarship Scheme
2) Dr. Punjabrao Deshmukh Hostel Subsistence Allowance Scheme
3) Eklavya financial assistanc
4) Financial Assistance Scheme for Meritorious Students (Junior Level)
5) Financial Assistance Scheme for Meritorious Students (Senior Level)
6) State Govt Dakshina Scholarship
7) Government Research Scholarship
8) Jawaharlal Nehru University Scholarship
9) State Govt Open Merit Scholarship
10) Scholarships for meritorious students in Mathematics and Physics
11) Government Vidyaniketan Scholarship
12) State Government Scholarships for Minority Students (Part 2)
13) Financial assistance to children of ex-servicemen
14) Financial assistance to children of freedom fighters

Instructions for Students :

1) For above scholarship https://mahadbtmahait. Mahadbt through this link gov.in
Online application must be done on the portal.
2) Students should apply online for the scholarship after reviewing the government decision, terms and conditions, benefits payable.
3) Visit the website www.dhepune.gov.in of the Directorate from time to time for updated information regarding the above scholarships.
4) Students can apply for more than one scholarship applicable through the portal. However, as the scholarship will be granted to the concerned student according to the preference chosen by him, the scholarship preference should be recorded carefully.
5) Students must attach all the documents required for the scholarship along with the application form.
6) Students should enter the marks in percentage in the form while registering marks in online application. Beneficiaries are selected according to the conditions of the scholarship (eg. percentage, income etc.) for the fixed scholarship.
7) Scholarship can be applied with Aadhaar number or without Aadhaar option. However, the scholarship amount for the students will be deposited in the Aadhaar linked bank account. Therefore, students need to link their Aadhaar number with their bank account to receive the scholarship amount. Take note of this.

Documents to be attached with the scholarship application (note that all documents are required)

1) True copy of caste certificate
2) True copy of school leaving certificate
3) True copy of Aadhaar Card
4) Parent's income certificate signed by Tehsildar
5) Affidavit of parent regarding income (on court fee stamp of Rs.20)
6) Certificate regarding academic / scholarship clause if any (on court fee stamp of Rs.20)
7) Attested Copy of Bank Passbook (Open Bank Account) / Attested Copy of Post Office Savings Account Card
8) Certificate linking bank account with Aadhaar Card (in 2 copies)
9) Attested copy of previous three year mark sheet and attested copy of 10th pass fail (first time) mark sheet
10) Attested copy of Class 10 Board Certificate
11) True copy of ration card
12) Attested copy of age, nationality and domicile certificate
13) User ID and password should be provided if the scholarship application form has been filled in the previous year, (For First Year Students Only)

Note: Students who have completed vocational courses or who have left the course midway will not get the benefit of the scholarship. If there is difficulty in filling the scholarship application due to incompleteness of the documents and the student is deprived of the scholarship, the entire responsibility will remain with the concerned students.
