The Teaching-Learning-Evaluation process of the Department of Geography begins on 1st July of every academic year. We prepare the detailed academic plan in the academic diary provided by the college. This academic diary is prepared by the IQAC in the college every year, with the help of the university academic calendar. We prepare a detailed plan of teaching, learning& evaluation in the academic diary. The department conducts various curricular activities to improve the teaching-learning-evaluation process, such as unit tests, seminars, quiz competitions, group discussions, interactive sessions, special guest lectures, practical, study tours, and student survey reports. After completing each lesson, the notes are detected in the classroom and students are asked to prepare the notes. The interactive sessions and unit tests were held every month. Along with this, quiz competitions and group discussions were organized to encourage and improve their stage courage for seminars. All students are appealed and motivated to participate in these activities. From the academic session 2017-18 the Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati introduced a semester system to B.A.I. The college conducted the examinations and assessed the papers at the college level.
To make the teaching-learning process more effective we regularly use the Digital Class Room, PowerPoint Presentation and various Audio-Visual Aids for classroom teaching. To enhance students' understanding and increase their active involvement in the teaching-learning process, the department often organized interactive sessions. To get extra knowledge about current issues in geography, the department arranges every year guest lectures of eminent persons from various collegesand universities. Allrecords and files of activities were maintained by the department. This record is checked by the principal as well as by IQAC regularly. To evaluate the progress of students’ unit tests, seminars, quiz competitions and group discussions as well as the first-term and second-term examinations are conducted at the end of each session. They are provided with study material or notes. Besides these activities such as study projects and home assignments help us to make teaching and learning processes effective. The problems of students are discussed with them and their difficulties are solved in a separate session.
