ACTIVITIES

   Department of History organized the various activities in the college regularly. To enhance knowledge in the students. The report of these activities is as follow:

1. Every year the department invites eminent personalities to guide the students on various topics of history.
2. The department prepares the digital library by taking students’ participation. Various websites regarding history subjecthas been collected in this library. Similarly rare books (downloadedin PDF format) are also collected on the CDs. Students of the History department use these websites, CDs and get the information they want.
3. The coins are the important source of history and they give information about ancient history. So. The department collects historical coins through the participation of students.
4. Rare photographs are rich in history, therefore, the Department of History collect rare photographs of various personalities, paintings and other occasions.
5. Our great Political thinkers and social reformers are our inspirer personalities. Their handwriting also always arouses one’s curiosity in mind. So, the departmentcollects the handwriting above personalities.
6. Study tour is an important part of history subject because a lot of information is hidden in monuments. So the department has organized a study tour every year at historical places such as Ellora caves, the fort of Daulatabad, Bibi ka Makabara, Pawanchakki, a History museum in Dr. B. A. M. U. and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj History museum. The information and historical importance told the students about the above places.
7. Primary sources areimportant in history, without resources history cannot be written in short 'No Documents No History.' So, with the participation of the students historical documents and resources are collected in the college library.
8. Dept. of History collects information on various historical aspects every year from the participation of college students and publishes a wall magazine named 'Itihas Mimansa' to make the students aware of research and collection of information.

Deulgaon Raja and its adjoining area have many historical spots, temples and other monuments, so the department has always tried to find out the local history and complete the research project. The following research project was completed withthe participation of students.
