Department used various methods of teaching, learning and evaluation process each year.For this the academic diary is prepared at the beginning of the session as per the academic calendar of the university with complete plan of the yearly teaching and evaluation process. All the faculty members of department along with traditional methods of teachingvarious ICT tools,power point presentation, charts, slides, models etc are used for effective teaching which helps to students to understand the subject easily. The educational youtube videos related to topic shown to the students which create interest among the students in subject.
Regular tests are held on each topic during the year. Along with these tests, to motivate the student andto make the students bold on the stage seminars are also organized in which students prepare on various topic of syllabus and deliver the seminar in class. All the students are appealed to participate in this activity. Maximum students deliver their seminar on the topic taught in the class. These seminars are conducted at the end of every session. Group’sdiscussions are held at the end of every session. Maximum students take part in this activity. They don't speak satisfactory but at least they understand the format of this activity which would definitely be useful for them in future and it also helps to clear their concept regarding the topic. In this group discussion individual performance is observed and they are given marks individually. The quiz competitions are organized on the topic taught in the class at the end of every session. Four teams are generally participating in this activity. Students like this activity most as they perform it in group and it also creates a kind of competition among them as the teams of boys and girls are separately formed. In this method evaluation is done of the group.
Besides this the assignment also given to the student on various topic for which they refer different books and submitted to the department. The various topic given to the students in group and ask to prepare the posters on it. All faculty members giving time for doubt solving session for students at end of each weekin which students interact with the teachers and ask their question regarding the topic related to subject. Department also motivate and helps students by providing various books to the students for preparation of various competitive exam.The teachers maintain the file of all these activities undertaken during the year. The file is checked by the IQAC as well as by theprincipal. Besides these evaluation methods, in order to prepare for semester exams the failure students are warned and advised to study hard. They are provided study material or notes. In this way the evaluation of students is made throughout the year.
