The department of Mathematics use different types of methods for Teaching, Learning and Evaluation such as Students Seminar, Group discussion, Quiz Contest, Record test, Assignment, use of Digital class, online NPTEL course, etc.
In the department of Mathematics teaching, learning process start from 1st July of every session. At the beginning of the session every teachers prepare his/her academic plan in his academic diary as per calendar prepared by college.
In semester there is 60 + 15 pattern for B.Sc. Mathematics students, that is 60 marks for external theory and 15 marks for internal. Evaluation of internal 15 marks for student as Record test, student seminar and assignment. Two Record tests are conducted for each semester. For stage daring and confidence in the students Seminars are conducted by the department at the end of each semester. Maximum students deliver their seminar on the topics covered in class. Besides, two group discussions held at the end of each semester. During this activity students discuss topics in the respective subject and they increase their knowledge about the respective subject. In this activity marks are given by individually. At the semester department of Mathematics organized Quiz Contest for BSC students. In this activity most of the topic cover from the syllabus by making 4 to 5 teams. In this activity marks are given to team.
The teachers maintain the file of all these activities undertaken during the year. The file is checked by principal as well as IQAC. Beside these evolution teachers used digital classroom for students to learn interestingly and technically. College has a Learning local Chapter of (NPTEL) National Program on Technology Enhanced learning so that the students of Mathematics can enroll for online NPTEL courses.Department conduct online NPTEL course for BSC students to learn advance in subject by registering for different courses in Mathematics. Teachers prepared syllabus for Bridge Course as per requirement. Also theyare designee time table for required period and they covered all syllabus in that period with full enjoyment. At the end of Bridge Course teachers take the test on the covered topics and evaluate to students by giving marks. To promote and motivate the students teachers shows video lectures and gives power point presentation for the students on the given syllabus. Due to this students learn Mathematics more interestingly and they are always remember things which they have seen. Hence increase his/her confidence. Students actively participate in the preparation of posters depending on different topics in every year. Due to this participation of students in preparation of posters learn Mathematics through visually and graphically. At the end teachers evaluate them by giving marks and they gives prize for first, second, third students.
